This free service allows a registered user to receive email alerts when a document is indexed in the Deed Book that includes the registered name(s)/parcel(s) they wish to monitor. Documents may include deeds, deeds of trust (mortgages), or other property-related filings. If you are selling your property or borrowing money using the property as security on that loan, then you can confirm that the correct instruments have been recorded.

The office of the Circuit Court Clerk is required to record documents that meet legal recordation standards. The office has no authority to verify that the true owner is a party to the document. This service is intended to help individuals monitor recordings and detect potential fraud.

Once registered for the service (subject to the liability disclaimers provided), if a document is indexed with a name/parcel matching one that you’ve specifically requested to monitor, you’ll receive an email with additional information about the recordation and how to access the document(s) recorded. This can help you confirm legitimate transactions or quickly respond to unauthorized ones.
